Paul’s giant pet otter!

I am studying a Master of Science (Ecosystem Science) at the University of Melbourne. My research is focused on the vulnerability of urban forests to climate change. In particular, my research will look to identify physiological mechanisms that explain how certain species are able to survive and thrive outside their natural climatic envelope. The practical application of this work is to identify which species have greater plasticity and are therefore more likely to tolerate increased drought and heat stress that future urban forests will be exposed to under climate change.
