I am a senior lecturer and director of Urban Horticulture at the Burnley Campus of The University of Melbourne. My teaching and research interests are focused around the design and use of plants in the urban landscape (recent work includes the Woody meadows joint research project with the University of Sheffield, UK), green roofs and facades and therapeutic landscapes. I co-lead the University’s green roofs research and development program, and together with my colleagues established the Burnley Green Roofs, Australia’s first dedicated green roofs research, education and outreach facility at the Burnley Campus, Melbourne. I have co-authored the award winning Growing Green Guide, a resource to support green infrastructure design and construction and regularly act as a horticultural consultant and engage widely with industry.
